Visit to the Garden of Europe, the Keukenhof

I guess, I have to slowly say goodbye to March! In almost an hour,  it will be over and we will be entering one of  my favorite months and this is  April. You might be wondering why? I love nature and I love  plants and flowers and I am proud to be a gardener of my own.  The month of  April is usually the  time when tulips  are also flowering. In Europe,  this is the time of the year where tulip flowers bloom.  I am so grateful that I had the chance to visit the Garden of Europe  which is known as Keukenhof.

These are some of my favorite colors of tulips. Anyway, I love them all! Keukenhof is indeed a paradise for me.

Everytime I look at the pictures I had from this garden, I am badly missing my great travel buddies.  This is one of the places we visited during that adventure last 2013.   These lovely ladies named Joy, Jean and Malou  are really awesome travel buddies.  I have so many friends around the  world and they belong  to the most special ones. Ladies, I know our path will cross again one of these days.  Thanks for your goodness, memories and most of all for your friendship. I will always treasure them.

That visit to Lisse, where Keukenhof is located, was indeed a perfect timing.  I believed 99% of the tulips were blooming that time.  We actually visited it during the  first week of May. A friend who went there in late March was not able to witness this lovely garden paradise. The weather was still cold that time and tulips were still not flowering. I suggest if you are visiting there, the best time to go  is from mid-April to first week of May, depending on the weather.

Keukenhof  is a Dutch word which means “Kitchen garden” and also  known as the Garden of Europe. This is so far the biggest garden I visited in my entire life. I already visited a lot of gardens in this continent but Keukenhof so far is the most beautiful one  for me.

Keukenhof  is the world’s second largest flower garden after  Dubai Miracle Garden..  It is situated in Lisse, the Netherlands. Would you believe that  approximately 7 million flower bulbs are planted annually in the park? I can spend here the whole day and even the whole duration of the tulip season if I can.  lol!

If you are visiting the Netherland in April, never miss  this place especially if you love nature and flowers.  For sure, you will love it there like I do!

I am always missing this place especially during spring season. Thanks God,   even I am not present there during the tulip season, I have a garden full of tulips.  These flowers come back every spring time and  I cannot wait to see them again right in my garden.
