I believed some of you already visited Venice, Italy. Some of you might also had experienced the gondola ride around the canals of Venice. I did and I experienced it twice. I already visited Venice four times and can’t wait to visit it again for the fifth time next week. Yes, I am traveling again this year and I am hoping for more travels to come.
Taken while riding a gondola in Venice, Italy during my fourth visit in summer 2011.
During my second ride in gondola last summer 2011. We were lucky because a gondolier, the person who navigate a gondola, was singing live as they were approaching us. In this gondola, there was a couple whom I guessed just got engaged. That was very romantic and interesting. Imagine witnessing a gondolier singing?
To my friends out there who love to sing and play musical instruments, you might want to check this good mxr super badass distortion from guitar center. I know some of you are looking for this.
“The gondola is a traditional, flat-bottomed Venetian rowing boat, well suited to the conditions of the Venetian lagoon. The gondola is propelled like punting, except an oar is used instead of a pole. For centuries gondolas were the chief means of transportation and most common watercraft within Venice.”
Venice is beautiful city worth-to-visit in Italy. No wonder, I keep on coming back there when there is a chance. If you are visiting Venice, be sure to experience a gondola ride to see the canals in this city.
